Understanding Uninsured Services
The majority of health services are covered by OHIP; however there are some services which are not covered. PatientServ is an online provider which allows HealthSource Medical patients to pay for these services online. These are called uninsured services.
Uninsured services can include things like forms for work or school, prescription renewals without an appointment, or letters requested by employers or insurance companies. Since OHIP doesn’t reimburse doctors for these tasks, the cost has to be covered by patients directly.
To make things easier, we offer an Annual Plan that covers many of these services for one flat yearly fee. This plan helps you avoid paying for each service individually and can save you money over time.
With one simple payment, you and your family are protected from hundreds—or even thousands—of dollars in potential fees throughout the year. It’s a convenient way to stay covered and make sure you always have access to the care and paperwork you need without surprise costs.
